The street
I wonder many times were do the rich in the society pass?I wonder what the government do with people from the street?hmmm it's real, passing through the street of Accra Ghana after the rains at night you see a good number of Ghanaian citizens who do not have places to lay their head after been beaten by the rains.
What does the government say about this? Nothing, only working for their selfish interest, making big deals and spending the country's money, buying cars that are not necessary.
I stand to say they are homeless not hopeless, their hearts are not made of metals when you come begging for vote. please let support THE STREET.
It has alot to offer.

RESPECT THE STREET
How do we expert the people on the street to survive when
we see them as liabilities
and do not help them
but instead we shout at them
we don't pay them when they render services to us some of us even spit at them whenever they carry our goods for a token;
we call them all sorts of names.
Do you know that when we do not help them they become a burden to we ourselves and for that matter the entire society?
They turn into thieves who steal our properties at night and even the day.
They turn to prostitutes who steal our husbands and our young men into committing fornication as well as indulging into narcotics.
They become all these people because they have to and need to survive .
But in order not to face these problems in the future, we must stretch wide and wider than we have ever done to help these street dwellers.
what can you and I do to help.
Tell me?
LET'S RESPECT STREET HAWKERS.
It's high time we showed some respect to hawkers on the street. Street hawkers constitute an important segment of society and are people we need. They play a very important role in our everyday life. For example hawkers are the venders of "pure" water on the street help quench our thirst when we thirsty. They deserve our respect even though they take money from us, they really help us. Street hawkers deserve respect because they are also human beings and are also created by God. Therefore their rights should not be infringe upon. #LETS RESPECT STREET HAWKERS.

THE STREET
Why do we take people on the street for granted? People who leave on the street are homeless but not hopeless.
Yes they are homeless not hopeless, they are the same people who takes care of our properties at night, they turn out to be watch dogs at night and hawkers during the day. They make sure that their place of hospitality is kept clean.
The street again goes through pain,in the sense that young girls are been raped, some been murdered and some continue as night workers to be able to take care of themselves.
What happens when it rains on the street? The same people who are watch dogs turn out to be helpless and do not have access to shelter.
For example hawkers who stay or shelter themselves at Tema station in the capital of Ghana go through alot when it rains but we also know that, majority of the ministries in Ghana are found around that area.
What do Ministers say about the situation at that area?Nothing I guess but when it's time for election you see these same Ministers go back to the homeless and helpless begging and making fake promises to them to vote them to come into power.
HMMM,THE STREET REALLY HAS ALOT TO OFFER.

WHAT THE STREET OFFERS.
The street goes through alot during the day. The street is one of the places where one can either make it or loose it,but the fact is that the street really makes us who we want be.
Example people from the north come all the way to the South just to make it on the street but some people from the south can't go to the north and make it on the street.( I stand to be corrected).
The street really makes us who we are today, politicians make their way through the street convince people on the street to bring them into power, when power is gotten they neglect we on the street forgetting that we brought them there.
The street is were people get their breakthrough. Out of Hawking on the street favors are being granted by generous people and they make it from there.
The street is also a place for shelter, many people after a hard days work on the street return back to the street for shelter. For example at night when you go to Tema station in the capital of Ghana you see alot of street hawkers finding shelter on the street.
Therefore all what I want to say is let's respect the street and people from the street.

Street kids
Children are our future leaders, that is what we say but it doesn't look like it.over 90,000 kids are hovering in greater Accra Ghana the nation s capital.
These comes as a result of broken homes, poverty, death of parents etc. This are our future leaders who are hovering on the street, even finding it hard to get food.it is recorded that these kids on the street are of the ages of 10-18.
It is high time we recognize it and find solutions to this problem. Most of these children are being kidnapped, some are also used for rituals and those who are strong push it through to the top.
Most of these children contract alot of diseases which sometimes leads to their death.
In my opinion we can accommodate these kids by building a big place that can take all of them and educate them in their own field of interest.
Government and individuals can play this role for these kids, because they are our future leaders and don't forget that the street has alot to offer us.
(Selorm Agbeko Nyamah Dorgbetor) stands for the street.
